We stayed over Christmas so prices were high. The staff was wonderful, but overwhelmed; especially the dining staff. We took a train from Rome and by the time we got there, after getting our things to our room we were famished and came down to get something to eat. The kitchen was closed between 3:00 and 6:00, as was pretty much every restaurant in the entire town, so that was very disappointing. The food was pricey. Maybe it is us but having traveled the world, we found the food good but not outstanding. That is a subjective evaluation; some think it is fantastic. The bar served a great afternoon pizza type snack with a cocktail. The bar from 5-7 p.m. was VERY busy. It is 'the' place to go. We did have dinner in our room one night and ordered coffee in the morning; I highly recommend it. The room service was lightning fast! 5 stars for that. We were assigned a room ending in -21; avoid them if possible. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, BUT, it was described as a Jr Suite, and not so much. Because of the hotel design, (we checked the floor plans), the -21 rooms have a pillar in the middle of the room in a very inconvenient location. When the hotel was remodeled, it is clear they were added on to get a few more 'room dollars' out of the available space. The bathrooms are the size of a shoebox; one sink, little room to move, almost no surface area to place toiletries. And unlike all the other rooms, the -21 rooms are not soundproofed. We could hear every step and voice in the hallway, and they could hear us. Also, the bathroom is right next to the door. My spouse opened the door while I was in the bathroom and a couple walking by could look in the mirror and clearly see everything going on in it. Thank goodness I was only putting things away! Also, the bathroom door did not hang right so it flew open and slammed into the bidet if not firmly shut. We could live with all that...it was the temperature control that was totally unacceptable. The minimum temperature we could get the room to without opening a window was 24.8°c. It was extremely hot and uncomfortable. The staff thought that we were too stupid to figure out how to use the thermostat; not the case. They came in to look at it and even they couldn't get the thermostat to go below 21. Even set at 21, the room remained at 23.8. The staff tried to convince us and it was because it was too warm outside. (8°). When we just turned it off in frustration, the room got even hotter; 24.8. ??? We finally just ended up leaving it off completely and cracking two windows to get the room down to 19°. We left one cracked all night in order to sleep. Which led to the other issue: noise. We purposely chose the location, pretty much in the center of the shopping district, so that we could walk to restaurants and shops if we wanted to. Having the window open meant we had to listen to people in the streets all night. Also, this hotel is directly across from the clock tower. We were on the back side of the hotel, but the front side faces the clock tower directly. Let me assure you, the clock tower is fully operational. Not accurate, but operational. And they are proud of those bells. Until ten at night. If you want quiet, I would not recommend this location. To those who are looking to ski; there was little snow and what there was was icy. We chose not to ski. However, several at the hotel did ski and getting to shuttles looked incredibly easy and convenient. All in all we would give it a 3.5; overpriced room, noisy and not all that comfortable. Other rooms may be better. The staff gets a 4.5, (in their defense, they worked very long hours and the hotel was full). The food gets a 3.5 for quality to price. The cleaning staff a 4, (our shower body wash was empty the entire 5 night stay). Room service a 5 and location a 5 but that is based on what we wanted. For less noise and crowds, choose a different location. We try to be exceedingly fair in our evaluations because people reading reviews know what is important to them. We hope this helps.

We have been coming to the hotel for Apres Ski drinks for years (they have the most amazing homemade crisps/ potato chips). But this year we decided to stay in the hotel and were not disappointed. Staff are extremely helpful and helped book restaurants for our stay. The rooms are cosy and the nightly turndown service with clothes being folded was lovely. Nice to also book the sauna and steam room for private use and a very good breakfast included. The local Snow service ski rental delivers the kit to ski room and the central located buses make it easy to get to the local slopes with the ski pass including your bus fair. We can’t wait to return soon.

A beautiful authentic hotel. The set menu in the evening was fabulous. Varied tasty stylish and plentiful. Our room was spotless and spacious. The staff in the hotel were professional and friendly. From domestic to restaurant to front of house. The position was perfect. Short walk to piazza Roma to pick up the bus to the slopes. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for half of our honeymoon while we skied in Cortina and the Sellaronda tour for 6 nights. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were all so kind, friendly and helpful. Our stay was booked through our travel agent (Whitney Cross of Cross Paths Travel) and the hotel upgraded us to a Junior Suite upon arrival knowing it was our honeymoon. There were also chocolates and cookies left in our room when we checked in in the early evening and champagne was sent up after dinner- all such kind gestures! I’d like to specially recognize Michael at the front desk. He was especially friendly and was so kind to help with any question or request we had. When we arrived in Cortina the GPS was trying to take us down a major pedestrian walking street and we could not turn where the directions were leading us. I called the front desk in a bit of a panic- I had to turn on my data roaming to make the call from my US phone- and Michael asked where we were parked. He said to stay where we were and not to panic… he then came and found us, drove our car to the hotel and unloaded our bags then took the car to the parking lot 400-500 meters away. EXCELLENT AND APPRECIATED CUSTOMER SERVICE !!

We stayed (6 women) at the Hotel Cortina before and after our 4 day Dolomite trek. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating, special thanks to Michael and Andrea for all your hiking suggestions, logistics, help with luggage and even an early morning breakfast before we headed back to the airport! The hotel is in a great location, rooms are comfortable and clean, great showers-all the comforts of home. Terrific service and great experience all around. Thank you!

Hotel Cortina has several advantages: central location, sparkling clean rooms, (very) attentive staff and a talented chef in the kitchen. At the bar check out the selection of high class bottles and ask for suggested cocktails depending on your mood.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are super clean. If you take an afternoon nap and go in the city for a walk, after You come back the bed is already done, the towels have changed. The food is beyond delicous, beakfast, dinner or snacks, everything served with the great touch. They have very good selection of wines and rums, all properly served. The stuff are very very polite, they do everything with a smile. They will take you luggage out of the car and park your car. The location of the hotel is great, in the center of Cortina. Best restaurant/bar terrace in the town, the location, the food, the stuff, cleanliness everythin is on the top level! Coming back here for sure😀
